How do I know how much to pledge?
First of all, pick your pledge level. Each level contains set items and items to choose from. Then pick from any of our Add-ons to boost your collection. Finally, add one of our flat-rate shipping costs for your location. Add it all up and pledge that amount!

Where do I write down what I want?
Kickstarter doesn’t support individual item pledges, so these will all be handled in a post-campaign pledge manager. Simply add up what you want and pledge that amount, then shortly after the Kickstarter is over we’ll send out a Backerkit survey for you to complete. That’s where you’ll be able to specify exactly which miniatures, Faction Boxes, or Bundles you’d like.

Am I able to buy individual miniatures?
Every miniature in the Faction Boxes and Bundle sets is available separately. Every miniature has a little price label next to it. Just add that amount to your pledge, and you’ll be able to specify the exact miniatures you want in the post-campaign pledge manager. Note that the Faction Boxes and Bundle sets provide a great discount on ordering the individual miniatures!

When will Carnevale be released?
We’re aiming to ship to backers in February 2018. It will be a single wave of shipping, no waiting for additional products. The range will then be released at some point after that in waves. Nothing will be released before all backers have had their pledges shipped, and in some cases some miniatures may not be available in shops for several months after that!

I've never played Carnevale before, where do I start?
This is the best time to get involved in the game! Our new 2-Player Starter Box provides two factions, scenery, dice, templates, and the rulebook. The miniatures in this box are all one-piece so you can get playing within minutes of opening the box!
If you’re looking for a little more, then the Faction Boxes are brilliant places to go. Each box contains a small gang, and the various Faction Boxes are balanced with each other, so you should be able to play against another person very easily!
After that, our Bundles provide additional miniatures for each faction. Most of these can be played on their own, but they’re intended to boost an existing collection by providing different characters and lots of options.

How big is a game of Carnevale? How long will it take?
A typical game of Carnevale takes place on a 3’x3’ board, and can range from 5 miniatures to many more! A 5 character game will take around 45 minutes to an hour, and a typical game of around 10-12 miniatures will take between 1 and 2 hours.
You can play bigger games too, or multiplayer games! Although we’d advise increasing the board size to a 4’x4’ board, because it can get a little cramped in the canals!

How does the game play?
Carnevale is a fast-paced skirmish game that rewards daring movement and tactical thinking. You’re just as likely to see a Capodecina jumping from rooftop to rooftop before pouncing on an enemy as you are to find an Ugdru-Rashaar stalking the canals looking for hapless victims to drown.
Managing your gang throughout a series of narrative campaign games is a must, and taking the right characters for each situation will help you to gain victory.

I'm still not sure...
That’s okay! We’re sure. In fact, we’ve made our Beta rule set completely free to download, so you can try the game out right now. Go to our Facebook page and have a look at the rules for yourself!

Our open Beta means we can take on your suggestions and you can see exactly what direction we’re taking the game. No more leaps of faith here, try it before you pledge!

I've been collecting Carnevale since the beginning, what does this Kickstarter offer me?
Aside from beautiful new resin miniatures? And massive discounts on bundles of scenery? And a 2-Player Starter Box to show your friends how easy it is to play the game?
Well there are a dozen characters that are new or haven’t had miniatures before. There’s a brand new rulebook and exclusive Kickstarter miniatures. Oh and of course there’s a breath of new life into the world that you (and we) love, with a planned future for the game, evolving story, and rules that you can be part of! If there was ever a time to dust off your old Barnaboti and paint those buildings you never finished, now is that time!

What about my old metal miniatures?
What about them? You want to use them in the new game? That’s fine! There will be rules for every character from the old rulebook. Some of them will be tweaked a little to balance them and make each character a viable choice in a competitive game, but each will be able to be used.
As far as the miniatures go, the scale is staying the same, so there’s no problem there. We think our new resin sculpts are gorgeous, and we hope you find ones you’ll want to upgrade with, but if you want to keep playing with your existing metal miniatures, that’s fine too!

What are the miniatures made of? What scale are they?
The miniatures are unpainted and made from resin in our in-house resin casting department. They’re 28mm heroic scale. If you’d like more information, there are comparison photos in some of the campaign updates!

Are the miniatures multi-part?
Most of the miniatures in Carnevale are multi-part resin miniatures. There are some that come in one piece (plus a base), but the majority need assembling in order to cast the evocative and dynamic poses we’ve designed. The 2-Player Starter Box however contains 1-piece miniatures we’ve specially designed to make it easy to play straight out of the box. These will slot right into their bases (and can be glued in for better support) so you can get playing within minutes.

Can I late pledge?
Yes indeed! Simply go to the pre-order store here:
https://carnevale.backerkit.com/
Then pick any items you want to include and go through the checkout. Your pledges will be shipped at the same time as all the other ones!

How long will Backerkit be open?
We’ll be closing Backerkit at the end of October for both Kickstarter backers and late pledge pre-orders. You have until then to get your add-ons. We’ll let you know exactly when that’s happening closer to the time.

I'm a late pledger, do I get the stretch goals?
I’m happy to announce that yes you do! Stretch goals are a reward to our backers for helping us fund the project, but with every late pledge in the Backerkit pre-order store we’re able to improve the game even more, so it seems right to reward those of you that weren’t quite in time for the main campaign.
Unfortunately we won’t be unlocking any additional stretch goals now the campaign is over, and that’s something you late pledgers are going to have to live with. But the promise of free minis should ease that burden somewhat!
Last updated: September 01, 2017 01:21
How are the stretch goals calculated? What do I have to do?
We’ll handle the stretch goals!
The stretch goals you receive are based on your final pledge amount (without shipping). If you meet the £35, £60, £150, or £300 pledge totals we’ll add the corresponding goals in for free during fulfilment.
There are “add-ons” in the Backerkit surveys and pre-order store showing what each stretch goal unlocks. They’re for display only! Adding them to your pledge won’t get you two sets, and may get a disapproving shake of the head from me.

What is the size chart info for the t-shirt add-ons?
We don’t have a chart, but we got the sizing from our supplier:
S 34/36” M 38/40” L 42/44” XL 46/48” 2XL 50/52” 3XL 54/56”
Last updated: September 04, 2017 20:25
Are these the exact miniatures I'll be getting?
We try to keep all of our renders and photos as up to date as possible, but this is a Kickstarter project, and so may have changes before completion. All miniatures shown are prototypes and although most are in their final form, all are subject to change without notice.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
